When a computer suddenly stops working and you cannot wait for a regular appointment, San Marcos Computers offers Priority Emergency Computer Service for customers who need urgent help.
This is a 90-minute in-home emergency computer service available to both home and business customers in San Marcos and surrounding Central Texas communities.
What Qualifies as a Computer Emergency?
You determine whether your situation is an emergency. Examples may include:
- Computer will not turn on
- Computer will not boot
- Critical computer suddenly stopped working
- Computer failure affecting an important task
- Urgent laptop or desktop problem
- Other unexpected computer problems that cannot reasonably wait for a regular appointment
If you believe your computer problem requires immediate attention, contact us and explain what happened. We will determine whether we can provide emergency service based on the situation and technician availability.
In-Home Emergency Computer Service
We come to your home or business location and work directly on the affected computer.
Our emergency service is intended for urgent repair and troubleshooting of an individual computer or device. It is not ongoing business IT support or managed IT services.
Response During Business Hours
Our intent is to respond within 1 hour during business hours, subject to technician availability and the circumstances of the service call.
Emergency service does not guarantee that the underlying computer problem can be repaired during the appointment. Some failures require parts, specialized equipment or additional shop work.
Priority Emergency Service Pricing
$295 — 90-minute in-home emergency computer service.
Priority Emergency Computer Service is already an emergency-priority appointment. The regular $75 Priority Service add-on is not available for this service.
Business Customers
A computer failure can be particularly disruptive when the affected computer is needed for an important business task. Priority Emergency Computer Service is available for individual business computers when urgent troubleshooting or repair is needed.
This service does not provide ongoing business IT support, network administration, managed services or continuing technical support contracts.
What Happens During the Visit?
We begin by determining what happened and troubleshooting the affected computer. We explain what we find and, whenever reasonably possible, work toward resolving the problem during the emergency appointment.
If the computer requires a part, extensive repair, data recovery or other work that cannot be completed during the visit, we will explain the available options before proceeding with additional work.
When Emergency Service Isn't Necessary
If your computer is working but you need help with a problem that can wait for a regular appointment, our standard Home Computer Help service may be more appropriate.
